Get ready for the WNPS 2018 Photo Contest!
This has been an amazing year for wildflowers and WNPS members have been busy shooting and sharing photos on communications all year long.  Now in these rainy days of winter, it's time to sort and share in the WNPS photo contest.
PHOTO SUBMISSIONS are DUE February 1, 2018.  

The photo contest winners are published in the WNPS Calendar.  Like the beautiful shots in the WNPS 2018 Calendar, you can enter to be a part of our 2019 calendar.
The Grand Prize winner will be featured in the upcoming 2018 Native Plant Appreciation Week promotional materials. Winners will be announced in March 2018.

Rainbows of Wildflowers

May 4-6, 2018

The Suksdorfia and South Sound Chapters are preparing an amazing Study Weekend event in the Klickitat County area of Washington, including the Columbia Gorge and the heart of the Cascades Mountains.  25 hikes, 2 Key Note speakers and workshops including how to use the new Plant List Database, and more will be a part of this year’s event. Knowing Your Grasses

"Knowing Your Grasses" is critical to many fields of science and practice, including wetland identification and delineation, ecosystem restoration, erosion control, and interpretation of natural history. Beautiful and diverse, grasses are globally important in many ways. WNPS proudly partners with  the UW Herbarium at the Burke Museum to offer this grass identification workshop.
