Botany Washington is co-sponsored by the Washington Native Plant Society (WNPS) and the University of Washington Herbarium at the Burke Museum (WTU). Our goal is to provide an outstanding learning opportunity for participants of all botanical skill levels. This year we will be exploring the floristic and taxonomic diversity of the Washington Coast. The 2018 Event will take place on the Long Beach Peninsula, with base camp in Ocean Park, WA at the Ocean Park Camp & Retreat Center.

"Knowing Your Grasses" is critical to many fields of science and practice, including wetland identification and delineation, ecosystem restoration, erosion control, and interpretation of natural history. Beautiful and diverse, grasses are globally important in many ways. WNPS proudly partners with the UW Herbarium at the Burke Museum to offer this grass identification workshop.
